Product description
Named after his English ancestor Lord Leconfield, winemaker Sydney Hamilton selected a fine piece of ‘Terra Rossa’ country at Coonawarra in 1974 to fulfil his life’s ambition: growing and producing a classic Australian Cabernet Sauvignon.
Matured in French oak barrels for 18 month (40% new). Aromas of ripe cassis and blackberry fruit with hints of cedar, nutmeg and cinnamon through maturation in predominantly French oak. Elegant and complex on the palate with fine tannins and a well-balanced acidity. A Classic Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra.
