The name of Talmard has been mentioned as far back as the 17th century in viticultural records. From generation to generation, successive owners have all played their part with expertise and determination. Talmard wines have acquired a solid reputation through wine fairs and exhibitions which has never faltered. In 1997, Paul Talmard handed on the baton to his daughter Mallory and his son-in-law Benjamin, who have successfully taken over from him. The Domaine is modern but the culture is traditional. Their vineyrad in Uchizy lies to the north of Macon, next to the village of Chardonnay and the wines are richly fruited, dry and well rounded. A fine example of how good Macon can be.
