    Product description

The grapes are sourced from the Mâconnais region, specifically from the La Roche-Vineuse and Saint-Véran areas. Hand-harvested. Grapes are destemmed and directly pressed before low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Undergoes malolactic fermentation, then aged on lees for 8 months to enhance texture and complexity. Notes of citrus and green apple aromas, complemented by subtle notes of butter and nuts. On the palate, it offers a smooth texture with balanced acidity, leading to a clean, refreshing finish.

  • About the producer

    About the producer: Domaine Chêne

Located in the heart of Macon, Domaine Chêne has continued to grow since it was established in 1973. With vineyards in the top two locations in the Maconnais, La Roche Vineuse and St Veran, this excellent domaine has a lot to offer. Cedric and Nadine are dedicated supporters of the ‘lutte raisonee’ system meaning minimum intervention, and keep yields low, which up the quality no end.  The 30 hectares estate uses modern equipment and sources all its vines from its nursery. They have attracted their fair share of media attention (Decanter, Revue des vins de France and more…) and won several medals.  View our selection.
