About the producer: Domaine Bachelet Monnot
Domaine Bachelet Monnot is considered as one of the rising stars in Burgundy. In an area steeped in tradition, it is rare to come across something new and exciting but here is one. Marc and Alexandre Bachelet studied at the Lycee Viticole in Beaune, and then gained extensive experience working in family and other Burgundy estates before setting up their own Domaine in 2005. Although they respect local traditions, they are determined innovators and have adopted a labour intensive approach to winemaking where no herbicides are allowed and strict de-budding is carried out in order to control yields. Receiving great reviews from notorious wine critics including Stephen Tanzer, this Domaine is one to watch. View our selection.
