    Product description

Bernard Bouvier is now managing Regis’ estate (his brother). Following organic principles, Bernard focuses on producing excellent value wine from Marsannay, an under rated appellation and the northern appellation of the Côtes de Nuits. His reds have silky and delicate tannins while his whites are full of verve.

Les Longerois is one of the finest sites in Marsannay producing supple and complex wines. Sourced from 70 year old vines on soils dominated by clay, requiring fully ripened grapes to obtain great tannins. Complex aromas of blueberry, cherry, hibiscus flowers, fresh hazelnut, and white pepper. Medium to full-bodied with smooth tannins and a long and fresh finish revealing liquorice notes.

  • About the producer

    About the producer: Domaine Bouvier

Bernard Bouvier took over the vines of his brother Regis in 2019 and now produces these wines along with those of Domaine Rene Bouvier (30 hectares), where he has been winemaker since 1992. Although Bernard produces a range of excellent wines across the various villages of Morey, Gevrey and Chambolle, to name just a few, his main focus is on Marsannay, an underrated appellation in the most northern part of the Côtes de Nuits. Bernard follows organic principles and gives a great attention to details. Grapes are tasted on the vine to obtain perfect ripeness, handpicked and sorted on receipt at the winery. Very little extraction is done during the maceration so that balance and vibrancy are gently encouraged. As a results, his reds have silky and delicate tannins and the whites are full of verve and retain the freshness of the fruit.
