Owner Riccardo Lepri took over the estate after his grandfather Enos in 2001. Alongside winemaker Fabrizio Moltard, they decided to focus on producing mainly white wines, unusual for Tuscany’s up and coming Maremma region. Following an organic approach they make wines with concentrated flavours that started to generate interest amongst critics.
Vermentino’s floral flavours, with its classic herbal notes, are mixing well with Malvasia’s fruity character. With a hint of minerality and crisp acidity, this is a great value white wine, elegant and complex in equal measure.
