Product description
100% Nebbiolo from the Michet, Lampia, and Rosè varieties, planted with Guyot method at a density of 5,000 vines/ha. The vineyards are at an altitude of 330masl in the historic San Lorenzo Cru in the municipality of Verduno. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel after destemming and gentle crushing, using indigenous yeast with 20 days of maceration. Aged 24 months in 5HL French oak tonneaux, 12 months in stainless steel, and 12 months in bottle. A structured and complex wine with layers of dark cherry, plum, and blackberry with notes of leather, dried herbs, and a hint of spice.
Pleasant, floral nose, together with notes of dried strawberry and fresh champignon. Medium-to full-bodied with a silky texture and plenty of fruit. Lightly firm tannins provide extra length. Quite a flamboyant red that’s hard not to like. Drinkable now, but better from 2023
