Product description
Old vines from the finest plots in Cravant Les Coteaux, an outstanding terroir on a sun-exposed hill, along with its ancient vines inherited from generations past, make up the crown jewel of Chinon wines. Hand-harvested. Low yields of 34hl/ha. Fermented with indigenous yeast and macerated for 21 days in concrete tanks with indigenous yeast. Aged for 6 months in concrete tanks followed by 12 months in Burgundian barrels. Vibrant aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, and violet, with subtle hints of herbs and spice. On the palate, elegant and structured with silky tannins, refreshing acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. A refined Chinon with excellent ageing potential.
