Château Cheval Blanc obtained the highest possible distinction in the first classification of Saint-Emilion wines in 1954: Premier Grand Cru Classé “A”. This exalted rank was confirmed in every following classification in each subsequent decade.
Thier second wine Petit Cheval is aged in 50% new French oak barrels and the 2002 is mostly made of Cabernet Franc. Classic and totally in keeping with the style of the ‘Grand vin’. Perfect balance between structure, elegance, and fruitiness, very smooth on the palate with a good tannic texture.
