Product description
Pineau des Charentes is a distinctive regional aperitif from western France, crafted primarily in the départements of Charente, Charente-Maritime, and, to a lesser extent, Dordogne. Château d’Orignac, owned by Yvan Meyer, the Technical Director of Maison Sichel, has garnered numerous accolades both in France and internationally for its exceptional quality. This Pineau des Charentes is meticulously produced over nearly a decade, blending two-thirds grape must (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) with one-third Cognac.
The result is a stunning amber-colored aperitif with radiant golden hues. On the nose, it offers a rich and powerful bouquet of ripe apricot, honey, raisins, spices, and oranges. On the palate, it is sweet and refreshing, delivering a harmonious fusion of grape and Cognac notes that linger beautifully, creating a well-rounded and delightful tasting experience.
