The Burger and Morkel families released the first Roodekrantz wines in 2015. Committed to preserve ancient Certified Old Vine Heritage Vineyards, they work closely with their growers, encouraging respectful and sustainable vineyard practices. No new oak ensures the quality of the fruit and terroir shine through in every bottle.
Sourced from a vineyards planted in 1974. Wild yeast fermented with extended lees contact and matured for 14 months in old French barrels. Aromas of apricot and pear enhanced by hints of Acacia blossom. Ample and round on the palate this wine is fruit-driven with well-integrated vanilla notes and an elegant finish.
