    Product description

    The Burger and Morkel families released the first Roodekrantz wines in 2015. Committed to preserve ancient Certified Old Vine Heritage Vineyards, they work closely with their growers, encouraging respectful and sustainable vineyard practices. No new oak ensures the quality of the fruit and terroir shine through in every bottle.

    Swartland is becoming South Africa’s stand out region for growing Chenin Blanc making wines showing a sense of place and with great character. Sourced from old bush vines planted in 1983. Great concentration on the nose with complex aromas of pear, peach, citrus and earthy notes. Medium to full-bodied with a vibrant acidity and a savoury finish.

    All softness and ease, balanced with peachy fruit. Juicy and vibrant on the mid-palate with racy acidity, green fruit and wet slate.

    Roodekrantz Wines is a small boutique label that crafts fine artisanal wines from selected blocks of old dry land vines with exceptional terroir. South Africa’s ‘Old Vine Project’, which aims to keep rare old-vine fruit away from large commercial blends, saw the Burger and Morkel families release the first Roodekrantz wines in 2015. Committed to preserving these ancient Certified Old Vine Heritage Vineyards, they work closely with their growers, encouraging respectful and sustainable vineyard practices. They source old parcels from Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Swartland, primarily focusing on producing Chenin Blanc. Their wines are made with minimal intervention in the cellar to allow expression of the character of the vineyards. Excludes items purchased in bond and en primeur where delivery will be charged at cost. View in bond and en primeur T&Cs.
    ** Click & Collect: Please note wines will be held at the site for up to 10 working days before being returned to Greenwich from where the customer can either collect or cancel their order.

    Returns

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. Beers, soft drinks and spirits are available on Sale or Return for delivery and collection but only in addition to wine orders. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 9147.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
