A fresh, vibrantly fruity and versatile red from the hills of Sardinia, crafted by combining traditional practices with cutting edge winemaking technology.
Rossosmeraldo is a blend of 50% Carignan, 15% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Muristellu and 5% Sangiovese Grosso. Each varietal is vinified separately with the wine left in contact on the lees for several months to add texture. Only 6,800 bottles are produced.
Aromas of blackcurrant and red berry fruit alongside garrigue and mineral notes. Powerful yet elegant on the palate with rich and velvety tannins well-balanced with a refreshing acidity and a long finish. Perfect for enjoying with grilled meat and aged cheeses.
