Telmo Rodriguez is a talented Spanish winemaker, who is dedicated to grow native grape varieties, and bring forgotten, yet well-located vineyards back to life. Alongside fellow winemaker Pablo Eguzkiza, they produce truly authentic Spanish wine from various regions. When they arrived in Rueda, their aim was to produce a sober and pure Verdejo.
El Transistor is named after the radio they hang in the vineyard to frighten a wild boar away. Sourced from very old vineyards, fermented with indigenous yeasts in various wooden barrels size and aged for 8 to 9 months. Intense white with citrus aromas and gentle hints of oak spices. Floral, spicy and complex.
