French rose wine from Provence in South East France, made with Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan and Syrah.
The cellier Saint Sidoine has been producing wines since the early 1920s. At the time the cooperative was known as the “Pugétoise”. In 1987, it was renamed after the Puget-Ville’s tower known as Sidoine, that is surrounded by vineyards and dating back to the eleventh century. Sidoine was a man born blind, healed by Jesus, who would come to Provence to preach the faith. Today no less than 182 members grow grapes to produce mainly rosé wine under the Côtes de Provence AOC. The 1700 acres are planted with Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Rosés are obtained by a direct pressing with or without maceration.
All the wines produced are under the Côtes de Provence AOC with 95% rosés, 3% reds and 2% whites.
