Sourced from the Douro, grapes were pressed in temperature controlled ‘lagares’ to achieve optimum skin extraction that delivers colour, flavour and tannins. The wine is kept at Quinta do Seixo until the following spring, before maturing at Sandeman’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Aromas of black cherry fruit, spice and dry fruit with notes of cedar, cigar boxes and nutmeg. The palate is rich and sweet with a ripe and long finish.
