Product description
Owned by Owen and Cassandra Inglis since 2004, Sidewood is already starting to get noticed. Highly respected critic James Halliday gave them a five-star rating in both the 2016 and 2018 editions of Wine Companion. Made by award winning winemakers whose CVs include top wineries such as Penfolds and Shaw & Smith, this delightful Chardonnay is up there to rival the big names of Burgundy, for a fraction of the price.
Extremely elegant, refined and perfectly balanced with fresh green apples, pear and melon flavours and just the right amount of oak to add complexity.

Hand-picked, wild-fermented in small batches, 30% whole bunch, partial whole berry, matured in used French oak for 10 months, 400 dozen made. The colour is bright, although modest depth; a scented, spicy bouquet of cherry blossom leads the way into a light, but bright and finely structured palate.
