Carefully hand picked in the early morning to retain acidity only the best grapes from the estate make it into the Mappinga Series. Vibrant and spicy with notes of liquorice and dark chocolate. The palate is intense and concentrated with rich flavours of blackberries, plums and white pepper. Full-bodied with grippy ripe tannins. Hand-picked, fermented with 25-50% whole bunches, or crushed and destemmed, matured in French oak (35% new). In Adelaide Hills terms is full-bodied thanks to its rich display of blackberry, dark cherries and plum, which dome with licorice, black pepper and spices.
