Product description
Owned by Owen and Cassandra Inglis since 2004, Sidewood is already starting to get noticed. Highly respected critic James Halliday gave them a five-star rating in both the 2016 and 2018 editions of Wine Companion. Made by award winning winemakers whose CVs include top wineries such as Penfolds and Shaw & Smith, their wines are absolutely stunning.
Only the best grapes are selected from the Sidewood estate to make the Mappinga Art Series. The winemaking philosophy is simple – to create stylish, elegant, high quality wine. Sourced from Ashwood estate vineyards located in the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills wine region, the grapes are carefully hand picked in the early morning to retain acidity. Vibrant and spicy aromatics on the nose with savoury notes. The palate is intense and concentrated with rich dark berry flavours. Good acidity and firm, sinewy tannins.

Lovely savoury aromas of spiced leather lead into a developing fruit palate of dark berries and sappy, whole-bunch fruit tannins. Refreshing acidity makes it very quaffable. A top-drawer Shiraz that will mature well.
