Product description
Owned by Owen and Cassandra Inglis since 2004, Sidewood is continuously receiving high praise from leading critics including James Halliday who always gives them a five-star rating in the Wine Companion. Made by award winning winemakers whose CVs include top wineries such as Penfolds and Shaw & Smith, their wines are absolutely stunning.
Only the best grapes are selected from the Sidewood estate to make the Mappinga Art Series. The winemaking philosophy is simple – to create stylish, elegant, high quality wine. Sourced from Ashwood estate vineyards located in the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills wine region, the grapes are carefully hand picked in the early morning to retain acidity. Vibrant and spicy aromatics on the nose with savoury notes. The palate is intense and concentrated with rich dark berry flavours. Good acidity and firm, sinewy tannins. Awarded a Gold Medal at World Wine Championships Tastings.com in 2018.
