Owned by Owen and Cassandra Inglis since 2004, Sidewood is already starting to get noticed. Highly respected critic James Halliday gave them a five-star rating in the 2016 edition of Wine Companion. Made by award winning winemakers whose CVs include top wineries such as Penfolds and Shaw & Smith, their wines are absolutely stunning.
Elegant and complex with raspberry and sour cherry aromas and hints of forest floor and truffle. Aged in French oak barrels it has ample but delicate tannins with a creamy palate. Superb on its own or with duck or game dish.
“The spicy bouquet shows unmistakable, complex whole bunch aromas, the palate with a finely pitched savoury edge to the red” – 96pts James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion.
Australian still red wine from Adelaide Hills Australia, made with Pinot Noir.
