Dense and ripe black-cherry fruits with chocolate and fig aromas. Full-bodied and well balanced fortified sweet red wine with good tannins and a powerful finish.
Smith Woodhouse was founded in 1784 by Christopher Smith, Lord Mayor of London, before being joined by the Woodhouse brothers. The firm now belongs to the Symington family. Located in the Upper Douro, the grapes are mainly sourced from the Madalena vineyard producing smooth and delicate port. Traditional methods where grapes are crushed by foot in stone lagares are still used today. Their Vintage Ports are well renowned and tend to be drier than most. View our selection.
