2019 Miguel Merino Vinas Jovenes, Rioja Spain x2bts
Miguel Merino created his own winery in a restored farmhouse where he built a small vinification plant and barrel-ageing cellar. He started to buy grapes grown on small plots near Briones to produce well-made, modern wines and now owns and runs one of the smallest, youngest and most prestigious wineries in Spain. This new vineyard ‘El Rincon’ was planted in 2001 in the South of Briones. Matured for 15 months in ‘second use’ oak barrels. Plenty of blackcurrant fruits on the nose with notes of vanilla and leather. Great concentration of fruits on the palate with smooth tannins.
2020 Chinon Ampoule Domaine Marchesseau, Loire Valley France x2bts
Brothers Bertrand and Vincent Marchesseau have rigorous approach the vineyard and minimal intervention in the winemaking process. Their wines are a true reflection of the terroir and are all certified organic. Ampoule, meaning light bulb, is sourced from sandy soil, atypical for Chinon. Expressive nose of candied red and black fruits with notes of liquorice. On the palate the fruits are well balanced with round tannins.

Aged for 9 months in American and French oak barrels. Aromas of ripe cranberry, cherry, blackberry alongside spices and toasted notes. Fresh, fruity and versatile to enjoy with friends and, to live the present.
2021 Mytilus Albarino, Rias Baixas x2bts
This small family owned and operated winery covers two hectares of vines from some of the finest terroirs of Rías Baixas. All their wines undertake fermentation in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. This 100% Albarino is then aged for four to six months on its lees to provide extra depth and complexity. Intense aromas of grapefruits, peach with notes of rose a nd aniseed. Smooth on the palate with a good acidity. A joyful and refreshing wine!
2019 Ochoa Uvadoble, Navarra Spain x2bts
Fresh and delicate with aromas of citrus, apricot and stone fruits. Light and round on the palate with slightly creamy texture from Viognier grape and good acidity from Viura.
2020 Ochoa Lagrima Rosado, Navarra Spain x2bts
Made using the typical Navarrese method of “sangrado”, or bleeding, where grapes are lightly crushed, not pressed, so they release the lágrima or tears. Aromas of red berries and redcurrant. Medium bodied rosé with character.
