We’re delighted to welcome certified port wine educator Adam Odor to Davy’s to guide us through a carefully chosen selection of Tawny and Vintage Port from the Symington Family Estate followed perfectly with a three-course dinner with wine at our home in Greenwich.
Established in 1882 and one of the leading producers of Vintage Port, Symington Family Estates are fortunate to count Graham’s, Dow’s, Quinta de Roriz and Cockburn’s amongst others, under their ownership. This promises to be an unmissable evening and opportunity to discover several different styles of Port, and the fascinating methods used in the production of the world’s best Ports.
Ports to be tasted will include:
Graham’s 10-year-old Tawny
Graham’s 30-year-old Tawny
Quinta de Roriz 2001
Dow’s 1997
Cockburn’s 1994
This is a fantastic opportunity to explore and taste a wonderful selection of wine.
On arrival we’ll start with an aperitif of the delicious Davy’s Champagne from magnum. Adam will then guide us through a port tasting masterclass, giving us a brief history of the Symington Family Estates and winemaking. The tasting will be followed by a 3-course dinner with wine pairings and is a must for any port afficionado.
Ticket price includes aperitif followed by a tutored tasting, plus a glass selected to accompany each course at dinner. Please note, seating may be at communal tables.
