Product description
Te Kano, meaning seed in Maori, is composed of four vineyards which all add something special to the fabric that makes up their award winning wines. Low yielding, delicately handled, and farmed with consideration, Te Kano’s wines highlight the very best of their vineyards and sub-regions.
This Bannockburn Pinot Noir is a blend of the very best parcels from their best vineyards, Jerome and Eliza. A concentrated Pinot Noir with complex aromas of orange peel, fresh red cherry, spice and ripe berry fruits follow and hints of vanilla. Medium-bodied on the palate with savoury flavours of forest floor and mushroom and soft tannins.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Bannockburn is pure, brooding and highly scented but it remains far too young to consider drinking. It does not lack for aromatic layers from the whiff of the freshly blown out match to the garrigue herbs and wormwood through to the concentrated, yet still to blossom fruit flavors. Still in its infancy, this has a lot more to reveal with time. The grippy tannins join the line of firm acidity to create a firm, taut finish. 2024 – 2034.
