    About the producer: Château Bas

Located in the heart of the Aix-en-Provence, Château Bas dates back from the 15th century. The estate has been certified organic since 2010 and spreads over 70 hectares. It benefits from a variety of terroirs – from the sunny, dry limestone hills, down to the shady and cool valleys – producing grapes with a rich palette of flavours. The Mistral also plays an important part in the vineyards. Blowing in from the north-west, it cools down the area making the grapes grow healthier and more concentrated.

The estate is planted with Grenache, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, Counoise, Sauvignon blanc, Rolle, White Grenache and Ugni-blanc. All wines are produced under the classified ‘Appellation d’Origine Protegée Coteaux d’Aix en Provence’. Both white, rosé and red are made under three labels: Alvernègue, Pierres du Sud and Le Temple.
