Located on the rocky plateau of ‘Des Roques’, this estate is managed traditionally using natural fertilizers, tailored treatments and harvest is done by hand. Eclipsed to some extent by the wines from its more illustrious neighbour Chateauneuf du Pape, Vacqueyras has plenty to offer and deserves to be much better known.
Full of stone fruits and white flowers the nose is expressive and enticing. The palate is both round and fresh with floral notes, peach and nectarine coming through. The long finish is rounded off with a burst of fresh citrus fruit.
