Valserrano is a long established family Bodega located in the best part of Rioja, and is gaining a reputation amongst Rioja’s best, receiving high score from renown wine critics. The Monteviejo vineyard was planted over 60 years ago with 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano and Granacha. The fruit is carefully hand harvested and then aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels.
The result is a wine that is powerful yet restrained with redcurrant and blackberry fruits on the nose and impressive balance, concentration and power. Rated outstanding with 95pts in the March 2018 edition of Decanter magazine.
