Product description
English couple Daphne and David Briscoe took a first step into winemaking came when they bought a small vineyard in Hertfordshire in 2004 but made an even bigger leap in 2008 when Vierkoppen, a thirty acre estate in Brede River Valley in South Africa, came up for sale. ‘’Not so much a mid-life crisis as a definite career change’’, or so they claim! The wines are rich and opulent and we think that this small ‘garage estate’ has bags of potential.
Full bodied with notes of ripe plums, black cherry, cranberry and hints of vanilla. Just 3000 bottle produced. Aged for 24 months in oak barrels.
South African red wine from Robertson South Africa, made with Cabernet Sauvignon.
