This family owned estate was founded by the Viu Manent family in 1935 and now grows grapes on over 250 hectares, including many excellent sites, with old vines planted on the high slopes of the Central Valley hillsides at 150-280m altitude. Winemaking here is aimed at fresh, pure expression of varietal flavours.
Fruity and spicy on the nose with plums, dark cherries and a subtle hint of tobacco. On the palate dark fruits and bitter chocolate are evident with well-rounded tannins and a persistent finish.

Viu Manent, owned by the Viu family, was founded in 1935 in Santiago de Chile by Miguel Viu-García and his two sons Agustín and Miguel Viu-Manent. In 1966 Miguel Viu Manent fulfilled his long-time dream of making his own wines when he acquired the Hacienda San Carlos de Cunaco in Colchagua.
This traditional estate includes 150 hectares of vineyards planted to noble, pre-phylloxera vines, as well as a winery and manor house.
