Product description
En Primeur Volnay 1er Cru ‘Les Champans’ Joseph Voillot will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
Admired by all of the up and coming wine makers, Jean-Pierre Charlot (Joseph Voillot’s son-in-law) is something of the grand master, most probably because at some stage he will have had a hand in their wine making education. A charming, ebullient man whose wines are designed to last the long term. They are finely balanced though and can be approached young, not his preference but he knows full well ‘chacun son gout’ (we all have our own tastes). We are lucky to have any of his wines to offer as yields in recent years have been severely limited due to hail damage.
Generous bouquet of spicy red cherry and ripe strawberry. Supple, rounded, full of energy on the palate, disguises the depth and structure beneath. Intensely fresh with grippy tannins, concentration of red and black fruit on the lengthy finish.
Further information on En Primeur Burgundy will be available soon. For more details please contact privatecellars@davy.co.uk.

Onward delivery or transfer is not included and can be quoted for on request. Free delivery on orders over £100 does not apply to bonded or en primeur wines.
