Connetable is the second wine of Chateau Talbot, one of the largest estates in the Médoc with 102 hectares of vine near Beychevelle. It is perceived as one of the most reliable wines in St-Julien. Since the 1950s the estate has been owned by the Cordier family, who also produce a white wine ‘Le Caillou Blanc de Talbot’, very unusual for the area.

2018 Château Talbot, 4ème Grand Cru Classé Saint-Julien is now released.

2015 Connétable de Talbot, 2nd Wine of Château Talbot

Château Talbot takes its name from John Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury, who lost the battle of Castillon in 1453 allowing the French to take control of Bordeaux’s vineyards after 340 years of British ownership. It is also perceived as one of the most reliable wine in St-Julien.

Their second wine is sourced from younger vines and has plenty of blackcurrant and wild berry fruit alongside cedar aromas. Very elegant yet full bodied with silky tannins.

2010 Château Talbot, 4eme Cru Classé St Julien

Château Talbot takes its name from John Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury, who lost the battle of Castillon in 1453 allowing the French to take control of Bordeaux’s vineyards after 340 years of British ownership. It is also perceived as one of the most reliable wine in St-Julien.

Rich and aromatic with generous blackcurrant fruits alongside cedar wood and vanilla notes. Full bodied with good structure and fine tannins.

2018 Sarget de Gruaud Larose, Saint-Julien – En Primeur – Case of 12x75cl IB

2018 Sarget de Gruaud Larose, Saint-Julien is released.

Second wine of Château Gruaud Larose, a 2ème Cru Classé located in Saint Julien. After successive ownership including négociants Cordier who also owned Château Talbot at the time, it is today in the hand of the Taillan Group, owners of many estate including Chasse-Spleen and Haut-Bages-Libéral.
