The People

Stéphane Spitzglous, third generation, was born on the estate. Brought up by his grandfather, he used to spend entire days with him on his tractor. He has been running the estate since 1996. Stéphane is an enthusiast and self-taught winemaker, full of secrets that he shares only with his tanks and his barrels.

The Vineyard

Located in Le Tholonet village, 6 kilometers South-East of Aix-en-Provence, the vineyards spread over a total of 28 hectares, all certified organic, with 14ha dedicated to AOC Palette.
Palette, the smallest and oldest appellation of Provence, lies on chalky gravel soil called of ‘Langesse’ (a lakeside limestone of the Tertiary era). The plots are in a natural amphitheatre protected from the mistral by the surrounding hills, and benefit from a microclimate. Planted with vines over 60 years old, the site is ideal to produce age-worthy reds and fine dining rosés. Next to it lies Sainte-Victoire. Protected by local mountains, it was granted its own appellation in 2005. Here, the vines grow in the most natural way possible to produce delicate rosés with subtle flavours.

The Wines

Palette is a complex and fine dining rosé made with Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault and matured in oak barrels for 8 months.
Made with Grenache and Cinsault Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire is refreshing and aromatic wine with mineral flavours and red berries notes.
