The Vineyards

POUNAMU wines are cultivated in Marlborough’s Waihopai Valley, New Zealand, within a single vineyard framed by the majestic Southern Alps.
Shielded from coastal winds, this single vineyard benefits from alluvial terraces with well-draining soils, nourished by pristine mountain aquifers. The region’s extreme diurnal temperature shift, with hot days and cool nights, contributes to POUNAMU wines’ intense flavors and balanced acidity, creating a distinct expression of this exceptional terroir.
