The People
Dating back to the 18th century, Château du Moulin Rouge is the story of family passion in winemaking. No less than 13 generations have been growing vines with meticulous care and each of them expanded the estate. Benefitting from their parent’s expertise, sister and brother Lucie Secret and Geoffrey Ribeiro, are taking over the management of the estate. Lucie takes care of the vineyards and administrative tasks while Geoffrey deals with winemaking and trade sales.

The Vineyards
The 27 hectares of vines are located in the Haut-Médoc on beautiful gravelly rises with plenty of sunshine and a microclimate influenced by the proximity of the Gironde estuary. The estate is managed the same way as its great growth neighbours which include Ch. Beychevelle. The vines are meticulously tended, and the grapes are exclusively hand-picked. In 2015, the estate adopted the Bordeaux EMS (Environmental Management System) achieving level 3 HEV (High Environmental Value) certification. Planted with 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, the vines are 40 years old on average.
The Wines
