Grapes from Finca Zarlenga in Los Arboles, in Uco Valley. The vineyard altitude is 1300 m.a.s.l with vines planted in 2007. Conventional in the process of converting to organic. Grapes undergo maceration in concrete eggs of 3,000 litres for 3 days at 10ºC, followed by fermentation with native yeasts for 25 days at temperature 22-24ºC. Aged for 11 months in the same concrete eggs. It has not been stabilised, filtered, or clarified A deep and pure style of Malbec with sophisticated notes of dry oregano alongside a ripe blackberry, plum and rose petal aromas. Refined and elegant on the palate with a fresh finish.
The 2020 Malbec Pie de Monte Finca Zarlenga from Los Árboles, Uco Valley, was aged in concrete eggs. Purple in the glass. The primary, reductive aromas include vivid blackberry and herbal notes. In the mouth, the flow and notably energetic freshness given by the warm year are kept firmly in check. A well-defined, precise wine.
