Product description
Domaine Bertrand et Vincent Marchesseau’s Utopie Bourgueil features 40-year-old vines, hand and machine harvested. The yield averages 40-45 hl/ha, ensuring both quality and concentration. Grapes undergo a 3-week maceration at 25°C with micro-oxygenation and regular blending during fermentation. Pneumatic pressing follows, with 30% of the wine aged in oak casks and 70% in stainless steel vats for 8 months. Aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and subtle violet lead into a refined palate. Juicy red and dark fruits blend with hints of spice, tobacco, and a delicate touch of oak. The tannins are smooth yet structured, giving way to a fresh, mineral finish.
