    Product description

    Hand harvest with careful selection of the best grapes by sorting. Yield is 10ton/ha in a high density planting. The vineyard are located 25km from the Pacific Ocean. Vines plantated in 2012. Fermentation in stainless steel at temperatures between 26°C and 28°C, for 7 days and 30 days of maceration. Then, 100% of the blend is aged in new French oak barrel (225l) for 10 months. Complex dark fruits and earthy notes on the nose, with blackberries, plums, and a touch of spice. On the palate, ripe black cherries, blackcurrants, and a hint of herbal notes. Structured with a hint of spiciness, with a harmonious and velvety finish.

    Listed as one of the Red Wines of the Year - Tim Atkin MW's Special Report Chile 2023 - More self-confident than the previous, 2018 release, this is a wine with more focus and precision. Marrying Cabernet Sauvignon with 20% Merlot and 10% each of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, it's scented and floral, with aromas of violet and bay leaf, deftly handled 30% new wood and a core of black cherry, cassis and blueberry fruit. 2025-40

    About the producer: La Ronciere

    La Ronciere is a family-owned winery in Chile’s Curicó Valley, which was founded in 1949. Recognising the unique climate provided by prevailing coastal breezes and abundant sunshine, matched with a rich diversity of soils spread over rolling hills in Licanten, La Ronciere established their Idahue state, which they see as their vision for the future. Despite the region being given D.O status in 2018, the Idahue Estate is the only vineyard planted in the region and its potential is just starting to be unlocked.

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
