Product description
Te Kano, meaning ‘The Seed’ in Maori, is composed of four vineyards which all add something special to the fabric that makes up their award-winning wines. Low yielding, delicately handled, and farmed with consideration, Te Kano’s wines highlight the very best of their vineyards and sub-regions.
Crafted in limited batches in the world’s most southernmost wine region, this Cabernet Franc embodies the distinctive terroir of Te Kano’s Northburn site in Central Otago. Bursting with blackcurrant, blueberry, and licorice scents, it introduces a medley of raspberry and spice. The palate showcases crisp tannins and vibrant acidity, enveloping lively, fresh fruit. Partner with juicy pork chops.
Graphite, blackberry and black cherry aromas. A lovely wine that’s very aromatic in a way. Have it with a roast leg of lamb? Yes, please. Freddy Bulmer: Pretty floral aromas with lavender, plum and pepper. The palate is driven by violet, lavender and liquorice, alongside punchy blackcurrant and star anise. Intense and generous. Roger Jones: Violet and damson with inky, savoury notes. Herbaceous with a silky feel and a mid-palate full of bright fruit. The finish is good with great focus. I would like to see this in a few years time.
