Product description
The vineyards are located in Capçanes, Montsant DO. Vines from one plot were planted in 1947, facing north, covering 1.5 hectares with very low yields. Grapes are hand-harvested. Destemmed grapes are transferred to a Conical trunk foudre made of Austrian oak from Stockinger for fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is pressed and transferred back to the same foudre to age for 9 months. Only 3,344 bottles produced.
An elegant and complex red wine with delicate finesse. Fine tannins support layers of forest fruits and ripe black fruit, infused with hints of fresh herbs and spices. Subtle notes of oak contribute to a very fresh palate with pure fruit expression.
Simply amazing, a complete surprise: this wine is full of delicacy and floral complexity, with nice supporting fruit that provides a lovely aromatic background. The mouthfeel is suave and delicate, with a perfumed fruit expression – deceivingly restrained but very persistent. The real wine, quite densely structured, shows itself little by little, offering a multilayered finish and leaving a nice memory of its touch. An artist's wine: joyous.
