Product description
Grenache Blanc from old vines of 50 years from a single vineyard divided into four terraces facing the sea in Marçà, Montsant DO. Hand-harvested. The grapes are lightly pressed with their stems and transferred to Stockinger Austrian oak foudres of 2,000 litres for fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged in the same
foudres for 7 months. Limited production of 9,024 bottles.
Complex nose of red apple, ripe pear, peach, green pineapple with subtle spiciness and grapefruit notes. On the palate, refined with roasted almonds, with a creamy texture yet fresh with stony notes coming through. Saline and citrus long finish.
A very original expression of the autochthonous Garnacha Blanca from the area, this has a complex and quite precise aromatic definition, very fresh in lime and lemon notes, with some hints of mango and tropical fruit. The wine is remarkably fresh and balanced in the mouth, with a joyful expression, quite genuine and long. Josep Grau is a producer with a particular gift for white wines.
