Product description
Grapes from Las Compuertas, Finca Victoria with vineyard altitude of 1,050 meters above sea level. Macerated for 4 days at 10°C, followed by alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts for 25 days at 20°C, with twice daily punch-downs. Secondary fermentation in amphorae at 18°C. Aged for 6 months in the same amphorae. Limited production. Expressive nose with peppers, thyme, and dried fruit notes of plum and raspberry. Fresh and complex with lively acidity, persistent tannins, and a friendly finish with hints of quince.
Awards
Las Compuertas. The blend in question features Petit Verdot, 35% Malbec, 3% Charbono and 2% Cabernet Franc from vineyards dating back to 1994. Made without added sulphites, it’s an appealingly scented, refreshing natural wine with plum, damson and black cherry flavours, firmish tannins and a tangy finish. 2024-26.
