The Roy family has been making wine in Chablis for over 200 years and is one of the largest owners of Grand Cru. They are known for making crisp, elegant, pure and unoaked Chablis.
Coteaux de Fontenay, their finest cuvee within Chablis AOC, is a plot of old vines on a steep, south facing hillside next to premier cru Fourchaume. Fresh and mineral with lovely ripe fruit and excellent length on the finish.
Domaine Roy's Chablis 'Côteaux de Fontenay' is a particular bottling from vines located up in the hills towards Fontenay. Precise, steely with a powerful core, this retains elegance together with ripe, concentrated, stone-fruit flavours.- 91 pts Andy Howard MW, Decanter Magazine
