Welcome to Davy’s monthly Champagne Soirée at Champagne Charlies, nestled beneath the arches of Charing Cross. Champagne Charlies has become a beloved local institution, offering a cozy atmosphere with wood paneling, exposed brick, intimate alcoves, and candlelit tables, making it the perfect hub for wining, dining, and entertaining Champagne enthusiasts. This charming venue boasts an exclusive Champagne list, making it the host bar for our new Champagne Soirees.
Join us for an evening of exploration into what makes Champagne the world’s most famous celebratory drink. Hosted by Luma Monteiro (@wineriaofficial), a Champagne specialist with accolades including a Silver Medal in the renowned Champagne Academy, a spot among the top 100 most influential people in drinks in the UK by The Drinks Retailing, and an award from IWSC Emerging Talent in Wine Communication, you’re in great hands. Luma will share stories about the featured houses and more.
The evening kicks off with a welcome glass of a surprise sparkling, followed by a journey through four distinct Champagne houses and styles. We’ll delve into the history, terroir, and the art of discovering your preferred Champagne style. Our featured Champagnes for the evening include:
Pol Roger Brut NV:
Established in 1849, Pol Roger is globally celebrated for its elegance and prestige, famously associated with Sir Winston Churchill’s love for Champagne.
