    Product description

    Château Meyney has for decades represented one of the best values in the world. It still does and it’s a wonder it’s still as lowly priced as it is. Next door to Montrose and it has a nose reminiscent of its illustrious neighbour.

    Dark and generous with complex aromas of dried cherry, mint, licorice, cedar and tobacco alongside hints of white and black pepper. Medium-bodied on the palate with fine grain tannins and a long finish.

    Awards

    This is more proof of the consistency of Meyney. It has clear oak finessing, well held together with a cinnamon dusting and white pepper spicing, giving a gourmet edge with its own character. This feels finessed, contemporary and accomplished; a pretty complete package. This perhaps doesn't quite have the generosity of 2016, as the tannins are a little more tightly-drawn, but this is still good. Retasted several times and it stands out for its quality.

    Château Meyney is a St Estephe that has the particularity to be located at the centre of a single block vineyard of 51 hectares. Looking down the Gironde, the estate is protected from frosts due to the proximity of the estuary. The vines are an average age of 35 to 40 years, divided between 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Ch. Meyney has for decades represented one of the best values in the world. It still does and it’s a wonder it’s still as lowly priced as it is. Next door to Montrose and it has a nose reminiscent of its illustrious neighbour.

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order.     CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
