Product description
Recently acquired by Domaine Pierre Amadieu, these hand crafted wines are sourced from old vines and low yields (in some cases as low as 18 hectolitres per hectare, half the average yield in the Rhône). Grapes are hand-harvested and de-stemmed before fermentation with local yeasts in large cement vats, without pumping over or racking. The wines are fermented in old oak Burgundy barrels (‘pieces’). The reds are not fined or filtered.
Sourced from 50 years old vines on average, aged for 12 months in old Burgundian barrels and made with Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan. A traditional wine with lots of cherry fruits alongside savoury, spicy, and earthy notes. Full-bodied with soft round tannins. Perfect with grilled meat!
