2019 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros William Fevre En Primeur is available to purchase. Please click here to email us your wish-list at [email protected].
William Fèvre made his first vintage in 1959, and subsequently his name as one of Chablis’ greats over the following three decades. The man himself retired in 1988, when the Domaine was purchased by Champagne Joseph Henriot. In the last couple of decades there has been a move to the use of older oak barrels and a more subtle, integrated élevage. The Domaine consists of 12 hectares of premier cru and an enormous 16 hectares of grand crus vineyards.
“This Climat lies at the very western end of the Grands Crus area, at altitudes ranging from 130 to 170 m on fairly deep marl and clay terrain with a southwest exposure. On the palate, this appellation’s wines are often very full and rich. Rich bouquet with intense mineral notes. Full and round, yet firm and massive on the palate.”
