Château Pédesclaux is owned by Jacky Lorenzetti, current owner of Château Lilian Ladouys and part owner of Château d’Issan. Pédesclaux produces three wines from their 46 hectares, producing a total of around 8,000 cases per annum, from 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Soils here are a mix of clay, which provides power, and gravel, that fosters the wine’s elegance.
“Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Pédesclaux is scented of crushed blueberries, warm black cherries and cigar box with touches of garrigue and cinnamon toast. Medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannins and just enough vibrant fruit, it has a nice long vivacious finish. The tentative blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. 89-91 points” Lisa Perrotti-Brown, erobertparker.com.
Offered for sale ‘En Primeur’, in bond. Price shown is per case (12x75cl bottles) and excludes UK duty and VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine lands in the UK.
