Product description
En Primeur Condrieu Coeur de Roncharde Niero will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
Domaine Rémi Niero is a small family owned estate producing traditional wines with stunning concentration. Robert, Rémi’s father, took over the estate in 1986 on the death of his father-in-law, Jean Pinchon. Since that time he has enlarged their holdings to five hectares, notably in Condrieu and Côte Rôtie. Robert Niero retired in October 2010 and Rémi is now in charge of the Domaine.
A selection of old vines (60-80 years old), this is in a similar style to Les Ravines, with a little more breadth and density on the palate. From vines on granitic soils on the La Roncharde hill, one of the best sites in Condrieu. Long, mineral finish, muscular and tight. 40% of the blend is aged in oak barrels (one-third new) before bottling.
Further information on En Primeur Rhône will be available soon. For more details please contact privatecellars@davy.co.uk.
