En Primeur Cote Rotie Ampodium Rostaing will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
Rene Rostaing has owned 2 hectares in Côte Rotie since the 1970s, but in later years has inherited more, now owning a substantial 7.4 hectares. He destems his fruit and ages the young wines in no more than 15% new oak, without filtration. One of the great names of Côte Rotie, the wines are always highly sought after.
A highly perfumed nose, where a smoky mineral nuance adds energetic lift. Sweet, deep-pitched blueberry, cherry and fruitcake flavours spread out steadily in the mouth, picking up spiciness and a touch of liquorice on the back half. Finishes with sharp clarity and silky tannins that provide closing shape and grip.
Further information on En Primeur Rhône will be available soon. For more details please contact [email protected].
