Domaine de Chevalier owned by Olivier Bernard since 1983, and produced by winemaker Remy Edange, are well known for their ability to produce a quality wine in a difficult vintage. It is located at one of the highest points in the far west of Pessac-Léognan, on a 45ha gravel, sand and clay soil plot. They produce both first class red and white wines.
The chocolate, walnut, dark-fruit and stone character is attractive. It’s full-bodied and very tight and linear with chewy yet polished tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Lots of intensity and complexity here, as always. – 96-97 Points, James Suckling
